My name is Julie Johnson. I am a grammar school teacher with a fascinated with nutrition and a passion for fitness. I hold a Bachelors in Communications and Fine Arts with a Minor in Health and Nutritional science. For my capstone project, I chose to complete a Certification course on Nutrition for Optimal Health, Wellness, and Sport. This course consisted of 200 hours of learning, analyzing, and researching nutritional factors that will enable me to be well informed and ultimately lead me to be able to provide students with information to help them choose a more balanced and nutritional meal plan, as well as learn to incorporate fitness into their daily activities.

I believe that good nutrition is a powerful tool that can fuel you and provide sustainable energy so that you can live your best life. My philosophy on good nutrition and keeping fit is, that regardless of your current eating habits, food choices, and fitness regimen, small changes over time will eventually build momentum to create positive, powerful, and lasting results. It is my hope that by utilizing interactive activities and sharing education with parents and other educators, I will be able to show students that good nutrition can not only be fun, but will provide students with a balanced life plan of proper nutritional choices going forward in their lives.
Learning more about a healthy lifestyle engages students to make good choices. I hope this website will provide both students and their parents with the nutritional awareness needed to take charge of their own health and well-being. Ultimately, students must find a balance between training and performance, body image and nutritional imperatives, personal needs and competitive achievements. The information provided is a way to reach out to students to promote whole body personal growth through healthy living. My hope is to encouraging small steps to healthier lifestyle changes while creating a fun approach to living.
